Fanatic planned to kidnap British Muslim serviceman and behead him ...

A plot to lure a British Muslim soldier to his death and behead him "like a pig" was outlined to a jury yesterday.

The man behind the plot was Parviz Khan, 37, an unemployed teaching assistant from Birmingham, who wanted to post a film of the atrocity on the internet to "cause panic and fear within the armed forces and the wider public".

Khan, who has already pleaded guilty at Leicester crown court to his role in the planned beheading, was said to be behind a terror cell and had been under surveillance by the security services.

Nigel Rumfitt QC, prosecuting, said the plotters intended to produce a video showing the soldier's ID card to prove who he was. Khan was "enraged by the idea that Muslim soldiers were in the British army". He decided to kidnap a soldier on a night out, with the help of drug dealers from Birmingham.

The torture tape fingering Bush as a war criminal

The problem we all have (or should have) with the US President permitting torture anywhere in the world is because the US is the self proclaimed leader of the free world. What is the free world free to do if not go about its business without fear of oppressive government? It already reaches into the heart of our lives, with British police empowered to kill us because they SUSPECT us of being an armed terrorist. No charge, no trial, just punishment. The confidences between lawyer and client, a freedom gained over hundreds of years and for excellent reasons to do with the need for the citizen to be advised without fear, something that even the communists in the Soviet Union never took away, has been lost because of this new idea that the means justify the ends of defeating terrorism and crime.

Interview with Tadashi Yanai

You must set a high hurdle for yourself. Anyone can overcome a low hurdle easily, that is not good enough for a goal. The best hurdle should be set high enough so that you may or may not be able to overcome it. Even with the best plan.

AR: So you're not going to give away any of your tactics or the strategy by which you were planning to accomplish that goal?

TY: Expanding UNIQLO around the globe, increasing the number of companies in our group, and putting back into venture businesses, so that they are activated all the time. Those are three strategies for us.

AR: So Mr. Yanai is going to show me a couple of the new collections, right?

TY: These are the new range of jeans. The wide jeans are, in particular, for this autumn and winter.

Most dangerous country of the World

Pakistan needs a lot of help but foreign forces are not the answer. They must fight their own civil war and thus establish some type of order and figure out how to govern their country for themselves. Until Presidential candidates can rally without fear to spread their ideas/plans to the people of Pakistan the people will never be able to freely choose a leader who actually represents the people and the dreams they have for their country. Let's face it, the Newsweek article was not just some propaganda plot to discredit Pakistan in order to unjustly deny them permission for a Nuclear Program nor is it a plot for foreign forces to enter Pakistan. The world is not blind to what is taking place in Pakistan. Foreign forces are already in Pakistan and have paid Pakistan a great deal of money for their assitance in capturing terrorists which seems to have bared little progress.
