The game also marks the return of former Bigfoot players Josh Copeland and Garth Archibald, who left the Chico team after last season to play for the Pumas, the development team of the MISL's California Cougars.

Copeland was the top vote getter from the PASL Pacific Division for the PASL National All Star team. Scott Krum from the Bigfoot also made the team, which will play against the Cougars in Stockton on Feb. 10.

Wisconsin Sports Spectacular

The disputes have left many consumers fuming. Last month, the NFL Network had the rights to the Dallas Cowboys-Green Bay Packers game. And even though the game was carried on over-the-air television in Milwaukee and Green Bay, many cable customers around the state were unable to see the game. On the cable side, Tom Moore, the head of the Wisconsin Cable Communications Association, said Tuesday that he planned to appear before the committee to testify against the bill. This is NOT something I want my state legislature wasting their time on. I love sports, if I didn't, this little blog of mine wouldn't be a hobby. At the same time, I think there should be a "separation of sports and state". There isn't any reason that they should be taking this up just to settle a dispute between 2 cable networks and cable companies.

Rogers State of the City 2008

This is a "game-changing" piece of infrastructure. It has already proven its worth in the last few months with the east side open; however when fully operational in March, with access to Champions on the west side, the possibilities of new development are endless. When finished, you will certainly notice the city's first round-a-about between the interchange and Champions on Whitaker Parkway.Just opened is the 45th Street connection between Walnut and New Hope. This will most assuredly ease the congestion at the interchanges at New Hope Road and Walnut Street. Work should also finish soon on the bridge expansion on Horsebarn Road, where it intersects with New Hope Road. We are still plagued by congestion in that area, but very soon that will be behind us. The current widening of the Pleasant Grove Overpass to six lanes, and the widening of the Olive Street Overpass to begin later this year are both critical to the enhancement of traffic movement in these busy areas of Rogers.Other milestone achievements in 2007 included the completion of the new water transmission line serving the City of Bentonville.

Bomb 'joke' empties Wal-Mart for hours

CONCORD — A lunchtime bomb scare at the Wal-Mart SuperCenter off Dale Earnhardt Boulevard forced the store's evacuation Wednesday and led to the arrest of two men.

The Wal-Mart, just over the city line from Kannapolis, was closed for approximately three hours until personnel from the Concord Police Department and Cabarrus County Sheriff's Department determined that a tool box left at the customer service desk had tools inside, not a bomb.

Junior shortstop Tony Sanchez is back in the middle with junior second baseman Josh Holloway, a tandem who helped turn 36 double plays in 2007. At the dish, Sanchez hit .318 with two HRs and 40 RBI while scoring 45 runs. Holloway was a .278 hitter who added one HR and tallied 26 RBI.
Also returning to the Tech line-up will be All-GSC West Division catcher from 2006, senior Justin Bollig. In 2006, Bollig was an integral part of the Wonder Boys line up. Bollig, who played in 48 games and started 45 in 2006, had a batting average of .340, five HRs and 35 RBI.
“Bollig is back after having to sit out a year with a lot of determination and leadership to make us a very good team," Goss said.
There are still some questions that remain unanswered in the outfield for the 2008 Wonder Boys.
